NTC is expanding

To clarify, it’s the general data center business that’s growing, not just within AI. In addition to the delivery of solutions in larger volumes, there has been enormous growth in services such as installation and, not least, subsequent services such as service and support carried out by our own resources, often in close collaboration with our suppliers and selected partners over many years. This means many new jobs in the short and long term.

Requested services are 24/7/365 availability for on-site assistance, with varying needs from NBD, 4 hours, 2 hours and down to 10 minutes on the most critical installations. This requires not only crew, but also solutions such as service desks with ticketing that are now implemented on a new platform and execution around the Nordic region where the needs increase in line with the installations. The newest geographical area for business expansion will be Stavanger, where we are building a new hyperscale center with the latest AI technology on the market, the first phase of which became operational this week.

Of the 10 AI-related installations we have completed over the past year, none have been identical, although some of the technology has shared common features. These projects have involved different server brands, various types and quantities of GPUs, diverse networking equipment and storage solutions, as well as significant variations in cabling solutions, cooling systems, and power distribution. With the extensive experience NTC has now gained, we are well-equipped to handle new installations involving the mix of hardware solutions that these projects require. There are many solid recommendations regarding the optimal width, height, and depth of racks, as most equipment continues to grow deeper, generate more heat, and require faster and more extensive networking, transceivers, and cabling. We are excited about our first installation involving directly cooled AI solutions in racks exceeding 50U. This will deliver incredible performance and challenges across all areas, including weight, which we are eager to tackle.

In other words, we are looking for talented new resources with relevant backgrounds to join us on this journey. This includes roles such as project managers, electricians, cooling technicians, service and support specialists, and more. We envision many exciting years of growth and development ahead in the field we are established in. We warmly invite you to join the conversation!
