NTC was established in 2002, the owners had worked since 1999 as consultants for APC(American Power Conversion) and established them as a leading vendor within the UPS and power protection segment in Norway. From 2002 until 2009 we were working as agents for APC on a no cure no pay basis. The business was taken over by Schneider Electric(SE) in 2009, however NTC is still a major SE business partner, being an Elite Partner and service provider. This includes consulting services in the Data Center market, designing, selling, installing and doing post sale services on anything from components to turnkey DC solutions.
Through this work we very soon saw that there were various vendors which weren't represented in Norway, not at least because of the high startup costs for new businesses in Norway compared to the market size.
By providing dedicated teams and ensuring that the product mix was non-competing internally, we were capable of offering our services to other vendors with an agency model.

Our projects our often limited to a time-, a specific annual revenue or marketshare goal. Thereafter the vendor often considers establishing themselves locally as a result of our efforts. We also see a consolidation in the market which has resulted in vendor merge or purchase with the same consequence.
